About Me, This Site and What I am Up to

My name is Scott. I am 65 and have been retired since 2020. I got real sick from covid. I was in the hospital for 2 months and was on a ventilator for about a week. I was on oxygen until about a year ago. My life expectancy was not good when I was in the hospital but I am still here!
For the last couple of years before I got off the O2, I was only using it at night. I still get out of breath if I walk across a room or up stairs too fast. I can walk a few miles but I get really short of breath if I go too fast.
I have been interested in electronics for as long as I can remember. I learned a little on my own when I was young. I joined the military for about 10 years. When I got out with a German wife and 2 kids I ended up taking a 6 month class on electronics at a place in Austin Texas in 1991. I got back from Iraq in April 1991 and got out in August. I went to the Mansfield School Of Business for Electronics. It was not really enough to get a job, very basic! I did a 6 month temporary job at IBM running a parts placement machine. I also did a 6 month temp. job at Texas Instruments soldering parts on circuit boards.
The money really was not that good so I started driving trucks and did that until I got the covid!
This website and the YouTube channel that goes along with it is something I have wanted to do since I discovered the Internet!
This a hobby website and I am not a pro! I don’t even think I am that good at this! I am always learning something new and I always say, that is something I should have known a long time ago!
I do have a lot of fun doing electronics, making the website and doing the videos. If my website and YouTube channel brings some joy to your life then I have done my Job. Enjoy your time here and most importantly,
LET’S HAVE SOME FUN!
